Everyone wants to change the world but no one wants to change themself

Nothing generate more stress than the word CHANGE.

In business and in life it is something we are constantly faced with but rarely manage properly.

Change is nothing more than opportunity shielded by a wall or some hurdles to overcome. Harness the power of managing change and success will be yours.

At the most basic level here are some catalyst examples to help you get started in managing change.

1. A business can not change their culture unless individuals embrace and change their behavior.

2. There are books and college courses written and taught on managing change. Many programs focus on providing strategies, technologies, and training. But that is not what is needed. Modifying the status-quo is the route you need to take to change a behavior and grow.

3. Programs have a superior track record use the following to succeed and manage change.

-incentives (We see ย these every day, open your eyes and take a look around)
-celebration (every day someone is being recognized for something)
– peer pressure (motivation and inspiration are around each one of us every day, peer pressure is often looked at in a negative light but it has a very positive and productive side too )
– coaching to adopt new habits (hmmmm Plus 1 Daily )
– negative reinforcement (Rants)
– role models ( I can think of quite a few in this community)

Dont become a part of the “It’s not fair” group of affiliates. If you entertain that culture you will be wasting time and not managing your future success or doing what is really important and growing your business.

  1. Bam! Absolutely love it Tim! It happens in all industries and businesses, yet it seems only a select few actually want and embrace change. Fancy thing is, these same people are the ones that seem to build long term businesses year after year….

  2. I don’t believe there is anything that is ‘not fair’, but then again, I don’t believe in any entitlement, either. We make choices. The choices we make put us in the position to have an opportunity or loose an opportunity. Cause and effect are always in play.

  3. I see change as absolutely essential to a successful business. If your not able to adapt to new things and/or create new markets your business can end up in big trouble. Think about Block Buster and Columbia House. Change often causes stress, but, you gotta have it. What do you think the world has shrinks for? It’s so business people can change ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Awesome Gemma, I think you’re right, most of the time we’re just trying to proove that we’re above board and people aren’t going to be scammed. Customers are pretty savvy when it comes down to their buying decisions, show them that you’re here for them and they’re happy to take a leap of faith.Great to hear you’ve seen massive increases, there’s the proof in the pudding

  4. Hi Jon this is really important. Have a positive attitude. It makes all the difference in the world. I have been working on this for years. In the early to mid 90’s was when I really did something about it. I was so tired of feeling bad and being negative. And that is what the approach of the psychologists and psychiatrists have been for so long. Dwell on the past and mine was negative. I got sick and tired of that way of thinking and only wanted to think positive about things. It didn’t happen over night either. It takes allot of hard work and practice, but it’s worth all the effort. ๐Ÿ™‚ I would never go back to the other way of thinking.
