Your Job Should Be A Vacation

Make Everyday, A Holiday!

So I just got back from my honeymoon and for this first time in my years and years of working for myself….I left my laptop at home!

Crazy right? Every time I’ve gone on a ‘vacation’ before, I’ve always been connected, I’ve always checked in every day and decided this time had to be different. It was my honeymoon after all 🙂

But what struck me while I was on my ‘vacation’ this year was that…I really never need a break.

As refreshing as time away is, I absolutely love every aspect of my job, career, community and company….

My job isn’t ‘work‘ because I really…And I mean really love it. I don’t whine and complain when it’s Monday morning, instead I’m pumped up and ready to tackle the work week.

I don’t need time off because of the stress of it all, the stress if empowering to me! It actually motivates me to do better than I did the day before.

What we need to do, is design the life we want for ourselves where everyday, is a holiday! Every day is filled with joy and passion in what we do.

So while I appreciated the need to give my undivided attention to my new wife, I have also come to the conclusion….That my life and everything I do each day, is a joy!

What fires you up?

What are you passionate about?

What do you think about 24/7/365?

Once you find that, and develop a game plan to get paid from your passions…You will never ‘work’ another day in your life.

Make everyday, your holiday!

  1. Brilliant Jon,
You are an absolute Phenom! A great example to follow. I see people getting all upset, upsetting me; I can’t imagine how all this supposed to something to STAY angry about.

  2. Jon, Glad you took some time off for your honeymoon! I absolutely agree that if you love what you do, it doesn’t feel like “work” or a “job”. I love what i am doing as I learn more each day. And it allows me to have a real life and enjoy my family, friends and travel at the same time. Sometimes it may be uncomfortable to not be doing what everyone else is doing, BUT I want different results for my life than what “everyone else” is getting. Great post!

  3. I tell ya Jon,
No more skimming blogs. Absorbing information is essential to dispensing it. Blogging, where content is King….has always been where it was at. I remember back in 2004, profittrek.com was a blog, with after only one month an alexa page ranking of 495,000. I was posting creating content and learning from the content of others. Could have gone so far, but started think that other things were the answer. Flashy things; I was wrong. I think when we pick up and DO what you have done to build this TE Industry, then it CAN be a vacation every day.

    Good Luck All!!!

  5. I am so happy for you and Theda. I hope the honeymoon was magical! I know exactly what you mean about this industry not feeling like work. Ever since I started working online about 5 years ago, my passion has grown. Some days I can’t WAIT to get online and dive into everything I am doing. My offline job doesn’t create that kind of feeling for me, but it does help pay the bills. My goal is to make this a full time income this year and after that, I will never feel like I am working again.

This CTP community really makes it extra special as well. You and the gang are always encouraging, fun and work right by my side and that is even more important to me than the money.

Many Blessings to you and your family!! 🙂
