Focus On The 3, Not The 3000!

Part of my ongoing content for the #RoadTo100SP will feature lessons and tricks that I’ve learned over the years of being in business online.

I believe that these tips can greatly improve not only your results here on the blockchain, but also add so much to your journey…

It’s remarkable how many parallels I’ve noticed while combining ‘building a brand’ in online business with building a following here on STEEM. And we know, the more followers and ENGAGEMENT you attract, the more SP you will ultimately receive.

Here’s a tip that I learned early on in business and I hope it adds value to your journey…

We’ve heard about the importance of building a mailing list in online business. Like it or not, email marketing is still one of the most effective ways to get your message across to the RIGHT audience. Sure, there’s a lot more to it than just saying ‘Hey you need to build a list’ but one of the biggest stumbling blocks I have seen over the years is this notion that you need a HUGE mailing list to succeed.

This couldn’t be further from the truth…

What you need when it comes to email lists is a responsive list. A group of people that LOOK FORWARD to hearing from you and that engage with you every time you broadcast your message. If you have spent the time and energy to build real relationships with these people on your contact list, it quickly becomes your most valuable asset in building online businesses.

Here’s the kicker though….You don’t need 10,000 people banging down your doors. Sure that would be nice, but what we need to focus on is the relationships. And I don;’t know about you, but building a relationship with someone cannot be ‘mass produced’. It takes time, effort and sacrifice.

I’ve always said, you need to build a list of 3 people and work on the relationship with those 3 people…Every day! And that will grow organically because you are putting the effort into the individual….Not the masses!


(It’s a lot easier and manageable to develop a mutual beneficial relationship with 3 people….Rather than thousands!)

Think about it…

Knowing a lot about the partners and people you deal with everyday…Building businesses and going on the journeys together online. This is something that cannot be bought, it must be earned…

It’s much more manageable and achievable because you aren’t looking for ‘every one’ you are looking for the right ones!

Cool story Jon…What does this have to do with STEEM?

We know the real wealth here is the relationships you build with your followers…So stop trying to get 3000 followers this week, work on getting 3!

And engage with them!

Do something remarkable for them!

Build the relationship with them that will last years, not just 7 days and praying for them to upvote you!
