We talk so much about personal growth each and every day, but what happens when you take a step back? What happens when you don’t decide to pursue personal growth and are more content with watching a rerun of Seinfeld or the latest episode of Judge Judy?
Here’s what happens…
You are essentially choosing to fail!
Let me explain before we get into this too much. I’m not talking about circumstances or situations that life brings. I’m not talking about the day in and day out struggle that can take place. Life happens, this isn’t about the curveballs that WILL be coming your way.
What I’m talking about is what you CHOOSE to do, with your time each and every day.
There is a fantastic quote by Jim Rohn that states; “Failure is not a single, cataclysmic event. You don’t fail overnight. Instead, failure is a few errors in judgement, repeated ever day!”
Did you read that and understand it? Simply put, your life comes down to your choices. You can choose to watch TV tonight or you can choose to pursue personal growth and development.
I mean, the choice is so clear for me, because I can literally see what happens when I kick my feet up and spend a night deep in the study of a book. And I can also see what happens when I spend the night playing Call of Duty (something that I love to do btw but it doesn’t really add to my bottom line).
Our lives are the sums of our daily choices, so that’s why I believe so much in the ‘plus 1’ game plan for success. That’s what this blog is about, growing and moving forward every day. Yes, life happens! Yes, things don’t always go to plans…But our choices, will always determine our results in the future.
Choose to grow. Choose to learn and become better at sunset than you were at sunrise!

Hi Jon this is an awesome post. I love what Jim Rohn says about making the same mistake daily. He is telling you to work on a day by day basis which is the best way to do personal growth. Chatting in the Traffic Exchanges is a great place to get to know, like and trust people. 🙂
What I mean is he is telling you not to make the same mistake every day.
Yup, for sure…Anything like that, simple things, starts to add up.
Instead a lot of people don’t see the huge value right in front of their face. They choose their own destiny.
