The Power of Focus By Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen & Les Hewitt [Book Review]

I’m a pretty quick reader. When I put my mind to it, I can bang through a 200 page page book in a day or less. And while The Power of Focus wasn’t a long read, it took me almost 2 weeks to finish it. I’m going to break down why that is and how come I feel this is a book that every single entrepreneur should add to their library!

Power of Focus Book

The Power of Focus was originally written in 2001 and was heralded by many to be one of the best business / self-help books of it’s time. In 2011 they revised this classic and added some new content to help cement the message of this book. It follows 10 steps that entrepreneurs can focus on to build their businesses and succeed at life.

The book is jam packed with great examples of how the authors used their own advice to create some of the most popular self help books in history (Chicken Soup for the Soul series) as well as grow their own businesses over the years. The book is really easy to read and once you start, you can’t put it down…But you are encouraged to, and here’s why….

Power of Focus Action Steps

After each chapter, the authors have ‘Action Steps‘ that they recommend that you complete to see the full potential of this book. I know, I know…If you are like me you see these kind of action steps after a lot of chapters in various business books but there was something different about The Power of Focus. This was like going to college and having your professors be Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen and Les Hewitt.

Talk about an awesome value for the 10 bucks it costs on Amazon!

I really enjoyed the 10 lessons and all the action steps after each chapter. I got more from this book because not only did I read it, but it gave me some great ideas after I finished it. Plus the fact I was ‘taking action’ throughout the entire process as well, really added to my experience.

the Power of Focus

The Power of Focus might be one of my top 10 books of all time, it’s that good. And if you ‘do the action steps‘ after each chapter…I bet you will agree, it’s very powerful stuff!
